Als Dieter Kaufmann am 12. Oktober 1990 auf Wolfgang Schäuble schoss, fühlte er sich persönlichch vom Bundesinnenminister verfolgt. Es klänge zynisch, nun darauf hinzuweisen, dass dieses Gefühl mittlerweile von vielen Menschen geteilt wird.
